Winter can make muscles feel tighter and less responsive, but keeping them strong and healthy is definitely doable!
Here’s how you can stay on top of it:
Keep Moving – Cold weather can make you want to curl up, but regular movement helps circulation and prevents stiffness. Even indoor workouts or stretching can do wonders.
Warm Up Properly – Muscles take longer to loosen up in winter, so spend extra time warming up before exercise to avoid strains.
Stay Hydrated – Just because it’s not hot doesn’t mean you don’t need water! Muscles need proper hydration to function well.
Maintain Protein & Nutrients – Eating enough protein, along with vitamins like D and C, help with muscle repair and immunity.
Dress Warmly – Keeping muscles warm with proper clothing can prevent stiffness and injury, especially if you’re working out outdoors.
Get Enough Rest – Good sleep and recovery are just as crucial for muscle health as exercise.
